Tender as a cloud and delicious☁️Lavender fields are in bloom during this time of year, I couldn't resist cooking something with them💕 Great for a summer picnic! 🧺
🌸Ingredients
✨Donuts:
– 100g. butter at room temperature
– 80g. sugar
– 60g. flour
– 40g. of almond flour
– 2 eggs
– Juice of half a lemon
– Zest of half a lemon
– One tablespoon of lavender flowers
– Two teaspoons of Amaretto
– One teaspoon of yeast
– A pinch of salt
✨Icing:
– 300g. of powdered sugar
– The white of one egg
– A tablespoon of lemon juice
*I used violet food coloring.
🌸Steps:
1. Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
2. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside.
3. Mix the egg yolks with the sugar, butter, Amaretto and lemon juice and zest.
4. Add the flour, almond flour, baking powder and pinch of salt. Mix together.
5. Pour the egg yolk mixture into the bowl of whipped egg whites and integrate with circular movements until you have a homogeneous mixture.
6. Grease your doughnut molds with butter and pour the dough inside.
7. Bake at 175ºC for about 20 minutes.
8. To make the icing, just mix all the ingredients well.
9. When the donuts are at room temperature, decorate them with the icing and a little lavender.
